Meet Our Independent Contractors
Annabelle Denmark, LPCC
I graduated from CU Denver with a Master’s degree in clinical mental health, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate for individuals and couples.
Counseling is a second career, I was a photographer for 10 years, working with people to find self-love and acceptance through portraits. I also took care of my family and was a stay-at-home parent for my now two teenagers.
A big part of my training is in multiculturalism and social justice. I grew up in France and moved to the US as an adult, where I spent many years learning not only how to speak English but also how to function in a new country and create a new life far from my loved ones. As an immigrant, I understand the untold stories of the ones who feel unseen, oppressed, or misunderstood. I live my life on the gender identity continuum, and I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and an advocate for love and freedom. I am passionate about helping parents navigate their kids’ exploration and transitions.
My own story has informed my training, and I have been focusing on working with developmental trauma and PTSD, with training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy for trauma. I have EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) training which I apply to my work with couples. I also plan on being EMDR trained by mid-2023. Another area of focus is working with people with ADHD, in particular, adults who have been recently diagnosed.
In therapy, I provide a nonjudgemental space of connection and authenticity that is nourishing to all. My therapeutic approach is based on neuroscience and working with the body/mind/spirit/community to help reduce triggers, find balance, and be fully present as my clients experience their full range of emotions. My clients see me as warm, present, direct, and with a sense of humor. In session, we can laugh through our tears, feel free to be honest, and create a therapeutic bond unlike any other.
In my free time, I can be found indoor rock climbing with my partner, jamming on my drum set, or paddle boarding with my community. I love to be a parent to my teens and all the beautiful challenges that they bring. I also spend time playing with my tuxedo cat Charlie.
Andrew Archer, LPCC
Hi, I’m Andy. I hold an MA in Counseling from the University of Colorado Denver and am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) in Colorado.
I specialize in working with adults struggling with anxiety due to life transitions, parenting, relationship challenges, career difficulties, and the many other areas that can cause excessive worry and fear. We’ll work together to identify the specific strategies and skills that can help relieve the numerous, distressing ways that anxiety can impact our lives.
My approach to counseling prioritizes a focus on connection, curiosity, and authenticity. You are the expert on your own life, and together we will work to better understand the struggles you face, the life you want to live, and the steps to take to get there.
I have received specialized training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, and the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality. In addition, our work may incorporate theory and techniques from other theories and modalities to best meet your needs.
Outside of work, I have a wife, 2 sons, and a dog named Poppy. We love to travel near and far and our goal is to visit all of the national parks. I also enjoy most of what Colorado has to offer including hiking, skiing, fly-fishing, and camping.
